Continually a top producer at Home Center Sotheby's International Realty and throughout the greater Boston area since 1983, Gail was once again Hingham’s top listing broker in 2007. Gail offers all of her clients her unique vantage point and expertise gained from hundreds of real estate transactions – from negotiating the sales of many of the most expensive residential properties ever sold on the South Shore to the successful procurement and marketing of many large subdivisions in the area, such as Conservatory Park, Whiting Lane, Baker Hill Estates, Julian Way, and Canterbury Village.
Since purchasing the company in 1988, Gail has lead Home Center Sotheby's International Realty to the forefront of the industry and making the firm one of the top contenders for overall market share on the South Shore. Always one to stay ahead of the pack, Gail has most recently brought the firm and its team of professionals to a new level of service excellence with the Transitions! program - a unique concept custom-designed to meet the needs of clients who are downsizing or just looking to simplify their life who could use added support throughout the process.
In addition to being a successful business owner and real estate agent, Gail holds many professional designations, among them the prestegious Certified Residential Brokerage (CRB) – the highest honor given to a broker, making her the only broker in Hingham with this distinction. She is also one of the few real estate agents in the area to be trained by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in the marketing of antique homes. Additionally, Gail has always recognized the importance of educating fellow realtors and actively does her part to support the industry. For many years she traveled New England teaching realtors the skills necessary to become a top producing real estate agent, and participated in a training film for the National Association of REALTORS®. She has also served as President of the Plymouth County Board of Realtors, and was subsequently honored as “Realtor of the Year.”
Known as “the expert” in real estate on the South Shore, Gail was featured in a special report on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw titled “Through the Roof: A Real Estate Survival Guide” (Jun 2004). She also continues to educate the public on real estate issues with her weekly production of “The Home Center with Gail Bell,” the award-winning cable TV show.
Prior to affiliating with Home Center Sotheby's International Realty, Gail was a public relations consultant to the U.S. Government and Vice President of Marketing for ECOS, Inc. of Boston. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Elmira College and the University of Glasgow in Scotland, UK.
Gail is currently active in the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, the South Shore Women’s Business Network, the Downtown Hingham Association, the Neighborhood Club of Quincy and the Cohasset Golf Club.
