The South Shore (the towns south of Boston to the bridge that connects us to Cape Cod) is the fastest growing region in Massachusetts, yet in many respects it maintains a peaceful, rural atmosphere.
It's hard to imagine more scenic coastlines than Hingham, Cohasset, Norwell and Scituate, or the pastoral beauty of the North River marshlands. We who live here sometimes take all this beauty for granted, but it is easy to appreciate whenever you leave and return to the area. Each town has something special to offer -- from dramatic, rocky coastlines and sandy beaches to rolling farmland and town forests, fishing ponds and luminous lakes -- all within an easy commute to Boston by commuter boat, bus, express car lanes or the new commuter train service.
This distinctive region takes great pride in its excellent educational facilities and justly boasts of having some of the finest public school systems in the state. We invite you to briefly view our coastal towns on line and welcome you to come for a personal visit.
